Exciting Locum-to-Perm Opportunity Near Lu Verne, IA Join Our Dynamic Neurology Team Are you a dedicated Neurology physician seeking an enriching locum-to-perm opportunity? We are actively looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to join our team near Lu Verne, IA. Job Details: Team Structure: 1 Neurologist 2 Advanced Practice Providers Reason for Opening: Shortage of neurology physicians (1 currently) Clinical Setting: Small outpatient clinic Approximately 6 patients per day Faculty Opportunity: Teaching opportunity for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents and medical students Stroke Center: Primary Stroke Center 2020 "Get with the Guidelines"- Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award Recipient Inpatient/Outpatient Split: All surgical procedures available (except transplants) Limited pediatrics; support OB, Cath Lab, and ED Required neurology procedure: Brain Death exam Sub-specialty interests welcome (EEG, EMG, Epilepsy, Sleep, MS, Movement Disorders) Grand Rounds: Participate in Grand Rounds Call Schedule: Non-burdensome call Possibly unrestricted night call (within 30 min response time) 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (Sun-Sat) 10-hour days (potentially 8-hour days, TBD) Patient Load: 2-4 new patient consults per day 6-8 patients total daily on average (new consults and follow-ups included) Teaching Expectations: IM/FM resident likely to accompany Clinic Details: Patient Demographics: 50% over age % age 45-% age 19-44 (Pediatrics is possible but very infrequent) Support Staff: 1 nursing support on staff Onsite Facilities: Lab onsite X-ray on site EMR: Cerner Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Credentialing: 8-10 weeks credentialing timeframe Physician Support: Support provided before, during, and after each procedure Additional Information: Open to IMLC Candidates Not Accepting Visa Candidates Make a Difference in Neurology Care This locum-to-perm opportunity offers a stimulating environment with diverse responsibilities and a chance to contribute to medical education.
