Responsibilities Business Development Conducts strategic outreach initiatives to increase referral volumes and positive referring provider perceptions between internal and external referral sources Establishes and maintains on-going communications with referring providers and/or office staff, including routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls Facilitates physician-to-physician meetings to establish and develop referral relationships and monitors referral outcomes Positions Pediatrix partner physician groups competitively to protect and grow market share. This includes an understanding and routine analysis of the strengths and services of market competitors Delivers timely issue resolution between referral sources and practice and/or hospitals to maintain high customer satisfaction May collaborate with other health system stakeholders, including hospital medical affairs, hospital physician liaisons and business development staff, referral centers, provider recruitment, provider resources, etc. Provider Communication Develops meaningful relationships with key contacts, including internal and external physician leadership, referring providers, nurse managers, office staff, etc. Promptly notifies Practice Administrator, Medical Director and/or Director of Operations of any concerns or problems related to referral source satisfaction and works in partnership with that team to provide appropriate service recovery Identifies existing and potential referral sources for each clinical service, and/or practice, documenting in Salesforce to report activity and performance outcomes Develops tactical plan to promote provider engagement including new provider orientation, email communication, site visits, staff meetings, grand rounds, referral dinners & lunches, CMEs, and other communication methods Data Collection and Analysis Analyzes referral data to determine priority service areas for growing market share to affiliated hospitals and/or physician groups; works with RVP and local Directors and practices to determine priority service areas Maintains outreach activity and performance outcome reports related to volume trends for MEDNAX practices and hospital services Regularly reviews customer satisfaction surveys from practices and hospital services to identify opportunities for service recovery Tracks outreach activity in Salesforce to accurately document frequency of visits, reported issues and new referral streams Business and Market Intelligence Provides market intelligence to organizational leadership, identifying potential opportunities and/or competitor changes in the local healthcare landscape as needed, at least quarterly Provides insight to leadership for improved processes related to referral capture or opportunities to increase market share as needed, at least quarterly Qualifications Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Master's degree. Experience Years: 5+ years of marketing or sales experience.
