Reed City Family Medicine is looking for a Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join their busy practice serving patients across the generational spectrum. Enjoy a flexible, four (4) day-work week in this dynamic outpatient setting. Provider and team member collaboration, coordination, and innovation is considered key to the practice's success and the workspace is built to accommodate this. Team-based care is supplemented with Urgent Care, Lab, X-ray, Behavioral Health, Pharmacists, Care Managers, and experienced medical assistants working one-to-one with the physicians. Job Summary The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients. Essential Functions + Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others. + Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times. + Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care. + Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients. + Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources. + Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards. + Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient / family advocate. + Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development / application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. + Actively works with Spectrum Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
