Job Summary The Vascular Surgeon is accountable for carrying out clinical and administrative duties, as applicable, in a manner to promote high-quality clinical services and excellence in education and training programs at Corewell Health East.Essential Functions + Conduct on-call vascular surgery consultation services for trauma patients as needed in accordance with the on-call schedule. For the avoidance of doubt, "trauma patients" includes patients with iatrogenic emergencies occurring anywhere within the hospital. + Be available to respond by phone to all pages regarding trauma patients within 15 minutes, or as required by the department. + Arrival to bedside upon request of emergency physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant within 1 hour, or as required by the department. + In order to assure that services are available in a timely manner to trauma patients at the Corewell Health East facility to which Physician is assigned pursuant to this Agreement (the "Facility"), physicians will not: (i) be on-call at any other hospital or health care facility at the same time they are scheduled to be on-call at the Facility; nor (ii) scheduled or board surgery cases at any other hospital or health care facility at the same time they are scheduled to be on-call at the Facility. + Complete all clinical documentation, as applicable, in a timely manner consistent with health system, payer and regulatory requirements, if applicable. + Participate in activities related to improving operational and financial performance, quality and patient satisfaction as requested.
