Job Summary Corewell Health Medical Group is seeking an OBGYN to work in beautiful Fremont, Michigan. Join this thriving practice, working with three other OBGYN's and two CNM's who are all dedicated to providing excellent evidence-based care to a rural and underserved community. This practice is supported by a robust Women's Health Service Line through Corewell Health that includes maternal fetal medicine, gynecology oncology, urogynecology, sexual health, and menopause services. You will have a good mix of obstetrics and gynecologic surgery with access to excellent robotic surgery technology. Office space is located in the hospital and offers patients services such as social work services, a lab, and physician performed ultrasound. Corewell Health uses Epic EMR. Corewell Health Gerber Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital with a busy Labor and Delivery Service. Our providers deliver 550+ babies per year, plus a large gynecology volume. Essential Functions Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others. Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times. Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care. Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients. Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources. Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards. Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. Actively works with Spectrum Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
