Essential Functions: Our physicians are a primary member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients from infants to the age of 21 and their families This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction Collaboration with Nurse Practitioners Conduct monthly quality reviews of patient charts based on Alabama Regulations and/or procedures Qualifications: Current and active MD or DO license Active DEA License Strong acute care clinical background preferred but no required Manage varied activities in a fast-paced urgent care environment Provide evidence-based quality care Comfortable with technology i.e. EMR, Microsoft Suite (word, excel etc.) Strong relationship building skills and ability to work in a team setting Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, medical partners at various levels, patients and family members Rotating Schedule: Providers will work on a three four rotating schedules that includes every other weekend, so you are working 7 out of 14 days; Example schedule (Week 1 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Week 2 - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday). Clinic Hours of Operation o Monday - Friday 12 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. o Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Urgent Care for Children's clinic hours subject to change based on company needs, training, etc. Locations and Services: Our clinic has facilities for x-rays, rapid tests such as flu and RSV, and basic lab support. Currently, we have eight clinics across Alabama. Our centers strive to provide evidence-based quality care and are accredited through the Urgent Care Association (UCA). We employ a robust pediatrician follow up model, in which primary care practitioners are provided with information about their patient's urgent care visit in a very timely manner.
