COVERAGE REQUIREMENTS Gastroenterology (GI)
•  Start as soon as privileged - ongoing POSITION DETAILS Gastroenterology (GI)
•  Inpatient
•  Mon-Fri: 8a-5p with evening and weekend call
•  They will accept candidates who just want to work the day shift or just want to work evening and weekend call. Will have the option to do both if desired
•  Will see new consults and perform procedures during the day
•  Average 5-10 new consults per day
•  The current GI hospitalistaverages about 60 colonoscopies and EGDs weekly. Most come in overnight or early morning but dont require anything emergent and can be consulted on the next day
•  The on-call GI physician gets called back into hospital emergently after hours on average 3-4 times per month
