Gastroenterologist Locums Job in Eastern Mississippi Seeking 4 Weekends of 24-Hour Call Coverage May - December 2024 Dates of Coverage: Please note that some of the start times for the below stretches are flexible with a 1PM OR 6PM start - Friday, May 31 at 1PM (or 6PM) - Monday, June 3 at 6AM - Friday, August 23 at 1PM (or 6PM) - Monday, August 26 at 6AM - Friday, August 30 at 1PM (or 6PM)- Tuesday, September 3 at 6AM (holiday pay on 9/1- Labor Day) - Wednesday, November 27 at 6PM - Monday, December 2nd at 6AM (holiday pay on 11/28 - Thanksgiving day) Details of Assignment : Active & unrestricted Mississippi medical license & DEA required Board Certification or true Board Eligibility required Bread & Butter GI coverage; advanced procedures (ERCP/EUS) are not required Will see an average of 5-10 patients per day (new consults + emergent surgeries) in the inpatient setting & while covering the ED Will be asked to also do daily patient rounding & assist with colon screenings regularly & as needed (overall total volume of patients will be 15 or less collectively) Majority of surgeries are colonoscopy + EGDs Two staffed GIs at the facility; Dates of coverage provide time off (no APP support) 200+ bed facility, Level III trauma designation, EPIC EMR Jackson + Coker offers: + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rated Malpractice Insurance + In-House Travel Agency + 24/7 Recruiter Availability + Single Point of Contact + Experienced In-House Privileging Coordinators Experience why Jackson + Coker has been recognized by Forbes and Staffing Industry Analysts for our commitment to serv
