Swedish First Hill is seeking a physician assistant to work with a well-established, multidisciplinary weight-loss team. Swedish Weight Loss Services is an accredited MBSAQIP comprehensive program comprised of a Bariatric Surgery Program and a Medical Weight Loss Program dedicated to serving both surgical patients (pre- and post-op) and non-surgical patients. The appointed individual will be responsible for providing collaborative services, including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment and first assisting on Bariatric surgical cases in the operating rooms. The candidate will possess the ability to assess, triage, and prepare preoperative and postoperative Bariatric patients in the outpatient, inpatient, ICU and ER settings.

  • Outpatient and Inpatient setting
  • Primary location: Swedish First Hill Seattle; Secondary location: Swedish Issaquah
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program required
  • Background in bariatric surgery and/or laparoscopic surgery preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in surgical patient care required
  • Washington State physician assistant licensure or eligible
  • Compensation is between $124,767 and $161,795 per year
  • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them

Swedish Medical Center's First Hill campus is a 697-bed, general medical and surgical hospital in downtown Seattle. The largest of Swedish's five hospitals, First Hill is considered the main Swedish campus. In addition to the hospital and emergency department, the campus is home to the Swedish Cancer Institute and the Swedish Orthopedic Institute. The hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including the area's largest childbirth center, NICU and specialty pediatric care.
