Scope of Work: You'll be providing coverage for inpatient floors and consulting with patients across various specialties including General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Trauma, Thoracic, and more. Expect to handle consults in the Emergency Department. Experience with procedures like I&D, chest tubes, and wound care is required.
Schedule: Full-time, with shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., rotating weekends and holidays, and additional on-call responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current unencumbered Physician Assistant License in the state of Connecticut
- NCCPA Certification
- ACLS certification preferred
- DEA certification preferred
- Two or more years of experience as a Physician Assistant in General Surgery within a diverse patient population
