Responsibilities

Ascension Medical Group is seeking a highly motivated, confident, and energetic full time Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join an established practice and provide primary care services to patients of all ages.

Position Highlights:

  • Well-established practice
  • Will have own patient panel
  • Joining three physicians and one other advanced practice provider
  • Primary care and lab services onsite
  • Monday through Thursday 7 am to 5 pm, Fridays 8 am to noon

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision
    of a physician.
  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
  • Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
  • Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Master's degree required. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required. AND Two years experience as a clinical practitioner performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks related to direct patient care at an approved site through an approved clinical education program preferred.
