As a vital member of our Hospital Medicine Travel Team , the physician assistant will play a key role in stabilizing start-up programs. The primary responsibilities include:

Stabilize HM Start-Up Program: Take charge in the initial phases of the Hospital Medicine program. Demonstrate expertise in managing and coordinating hospitalist services efficiently.
Training of New NP/PA HM Hires: Responsible for the comprehensive training of all new Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) in Hospital Medicine.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Site Commitment: May be assigned to a specific site for a duration of up to 6 to 12 months, contributing to the establishment and optimization of hospitalist services. Schedules to be confirmed in 90-day intervals.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

Certification: Must be a certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). Certification in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) alone will not qualify.
Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a hospitalist PA or AGACNP.
New PA or AGACNP graduates will not be considered for this position.
License: Hold at least one unrestricted license to practice as a PA or AGACNP. (We will help you obtain additional licenses as needed.)
DEA Certification: Must possess a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
Facility Requirements: Meet all facility-specific requirements for practicing as a Hospital Medicine physician assistant.
