We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular health, excellent clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This role involves working closely with cardiologists to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with various heart conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and blood work.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
  • Provide patient education on managing heart conditions, medications, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient care, including follow-up appointments and discharge planning.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiology and integrate new knowledge into practice.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
  • NY State licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
