A Physical Therapist in a home healthcare setting helps a patient regain and maintain mobility, strength, and a level of function that leads to positive patient outcomes. You establish goals and provide patient education on improving balance, walking, and preventing decline after an illness or surgery. You will also assess the home environment to ensure safe mobility is achieved.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a physical therapist curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association and American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
  • One year experience preferred.
  • Able to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
  • Ability to return the individual to optimum and productive level within the patient's capabilities.
