Virtus Healthcare Staffing Seeks Physical Therapist for Care and Rehabilitation Facility in Mount Olive, NC

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a care and rehabilitation facility in Mount Olive, NC to find a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT). This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate PT to play a vital role in helping patients regain their functional mobility and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients to assess their physical impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.

Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific goals, focusing on improving strength, coordination, balance, range of motion, and functional abilities.

Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities.

Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Document progress in patients' medical records and participate in patient care conferences.

Maintain a safe and patient-centered treatment environment.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.

Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of North Carolina.

Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting (preferred).

Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to document effectively in medical records.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a care and rehabilitation facility.

Knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices for various patient populations.

Experience with specific treatment techniques relevant to the facility's patient population (e.g., neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, geriatric care).

Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
