Requirements of the Physical Therapist
- One year of Physical Therapist (PT) experience
- Outpatient/Aquatic
- Active/Eligible Texas Physical Therapist license
- Day Shift - M-Th 8A-5P; Friday 8A-12P with an acute rotation every 4th or 5th weekend.
- Very competitive base pay with shift and on-call differential
- Must obtain BLS, PALS, and ACLS upon start day
- PERM/DIRECT-HIRE PLACEMENT ONLY
Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist (PT)
- Administers medically prescribed physical therapy programs and treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.
- Directs and supervises employees of the department in the assigned work areas and participates in interdisciplinary care within the department and the hospital.
Plans Physical Therapy programs for each patient through evaluation and assessment of patient needs, as prescribed by physicians.
Has the authority to recommend disciplinary action pertaining to employees supervised.
