Physical Therapist (PT) Needed in Lafayette, Louisiana

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist inLafayette, LAto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for improving patients' quality of life through personalized rehabilitation plans and evidence-based practice. As a Physical Therapist with us, you will work closely with patients to assess their physical conditions, develop tailored treatment plans, and guide them through exercises and therapies to promote healing, restore function, and prevent disability.

Job Description:

Lafayette, LA
June 10th, 2024 - July 18th, 2024
Monday - Thursday
Part Time ( 10 hours/week)
Caseload: 15 students
$50-59+ (depending on qualifications & experience)

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including medical history review, functional assessments, and diagnostic tests.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to promote mobility, strength, and pain relief.
Monitor patients' progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate patient care effectively.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Stay current with advancements in physical therapy research and techniques through continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements:

Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
CPR certification.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassion, empathy, and dedication to providing high-quality patient care.
Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
