Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Company: Virtus Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant on behalf of our esteemed partner, a skilled nursing facility located in Chambersburg, PA.

Schedule: Monday to Friday with a weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

Work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function.

Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, and range of motion.

Monitor patients' progress and report findings to the supervising physical therapist.

Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote recovery and prevent injury.

Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans.

Adhere to all relevant regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards governing physical therapy practice.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and practices.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with a weekend rotation as needed.
