Physical Security Officer with Security Clearance

Please review the job details below. Job Description Maxar is looking for a Physical Security Officer to join our team supporting our Westminster, CO and Longmont, CO locations. Responsibilities: Executing all Maxar Physical Security policies and procedures
Ensuring that the work environment is safe and well-maintained
Interacting and aiding employees, contractors, visitors, and fellow officers
Preparing Passdown, incident, and Daily Activity reports
Monitoring security surveillance systems
Create, issue, and collect employee identification badges
Grant, remove, and audit area access utilizing applicable database(s)
Carry, operate, and communicate using radio communications
Investigating and reporting hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances in the workplace
Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to protect against theft, damage, and harm
Patrolling classified and unclassified premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of entry points
Supporting security training and briefings
Conducting end-of-day security checks
Conducting classified area open/close procedures
Supporting the control of classified storage material(s)
Protection of combinations to security containers, cabinets, vaults, closed areas.
Protection/supervision of keys and locks.
Escorting personnel throughout the facility, including classified areas.
Climbing stairs and ladders, running, and patrolling exterior grounds on foot for extensive periods of time. These duties may need to be carried out in inclement weather conditions, including snow, ice, and excessive heat.
Other security related tasks assigned by Maxar Security Managers Minimum Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance and undergo a CI polygraph examination.
Must be willing and legally able to carry a firearm
Candidates must be able to make the right decisions swiftly, possess excellent communication and observation skills
Possess satisfactory public relations and customer service skills, sufficient to allow them to interact positively with Maxar employees, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and the general public
High school diploma or GED
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: Active Top Secret clearance (investigation within last two years)
6 months of customer service experience
Prior experience with personnel or property protection
Experience with access control systems, preferably C-CURE
Experience with security surveillance systems, preferably Avigilon Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $20.63 - $34.38 hourly. Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
