Job Summary:

Excellent opportunity for a Rehab PM&R physician to join the inpatient rehab units for Johnston-Willis Hospital. Johnston-Willis therapist-to-patient ratio is lower than the national average, providing patients with individualized care and encouragement. They offer highly qualified specialists ranging from doctors, nurses, social workers/case managers to coordinate and assure patients receive the necessary treatments and therapies.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Must be board eligible or board certified in their specialty
  • Board eligible candidates still in training must be scheduled for their boards
  • Must be energetic and motivated
  • Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration
About the Rehab Unit:
The unit treats patients (age 18 or older) with a range of conditions, including:
  • Stroke
  • Post-operative cardiac conditions
  • Cancer
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Amputations
  • Brain injury
  • Neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson s

  • 292-bed community hospital
  • 26-beds ICU with a mix of neuro ICU and 14 medical ICU beds
