Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner Physiatry is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct outpatient care under
the supervision of a physician. The Nurse Practitioner Physiatry is qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat
neurological/neurosurgical disorders. The Nurse Practitioner Physiatry's primary responsibilities include, but are not
limited to the following: performing clinic consultations for pre-operative, post-operative and non-operative
neurosurgical patient.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Master's degree in nursing
- 3-5 years clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Certificate of Fitness through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Licensed as RN in states of TN/GA or hold compact RN license in state of residency
- Licensed as APRN in state of TN
- BLS
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute or primary care setting with Neurology experience or equivalent RN experience
