Coordinates, manages, organizes and develops all aspects of the pharmacy services information management to aide in making effective data-driven decisions, in order to anticipate and meet the pharmaceutical needs of the patients and goals; preforms duties as a pharmacist. Essential Functions: Provides administrative, technical and analytical support for Pharmacy Service and participates in decisions and policy design. Evaluates current information management procedures and practices to determine how effectively current systems are meeting needs and how services could be improved. Analyzes Pharmacy Service hardware and software needs Ensures that systems are fully integrated, resources are utilized effectively and efficiently, and objectives are met. Makes configuration changes to hardware and software to meet evolving and complex computerized initiatives and Pharmacy Service needs. Collaborates with department personnel to identify computerization needs and develops programs or modify existing programs to meet Pharmacy needs. Creates computerized files, templates and databases to obtain automated clinical and administrative data used to produce managerial reports. Develops, coordinates, implements and documents training programs, according to assessed need, for Pharmacy Service staff. Prepares appropriate instructional materials for training purposes as needed. Identifies and translates Pharmacy Service needs/concerns/problems. Coordinates hardware and software installations and upgrades. Collaborates and participates in activities that will increase the quality of patient care through information systems management and automation. Gathers and interprets data about Pharmacy work processes and design management information systems to capture data about these processes. Including processes to automate, what equipment to select and how to effectively use and network with existing equipment. Preforms other duties as assigned Two years of clinical pharmacy experience, required Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy AND/OR Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Current and active state unrestricted Pharmacy license, Arizona state license preferred BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire Indian Preference and Equal Employment Opportunity SCAHC gives preference in hiring to San Carlos Apache Tribal members and other Native Americans in accordance with the San Carlos Apache Tribe's Tribal Preference Policy, as set forth in Section 402 of the Tribe's Human Resources Department Policies and Procedures Manual.
