Job Description: Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at the Breast and Imaging Center (BAIC) and Kimmel. This role will support Ambulatory Pharmacy services to include conventional and investigational chemotherapy /biologic therapy, Omnicell support, retail as well as supportive care for the wide range of therapeutic modalities offered at the site. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of chemotherapy order verification, order entry, mixing, checking, and workflow for all orders on a daily basis, as well as other duties as needed.
Role Overview:
  • Be responsible for providing chemotherapy and all medication needs to patients
  • Review protocols and fulfill all other needs of the BAIC and Kimmel Pharmacy
  • Prepare chemotherapy agents and investigational medications.
  • Be involved in implementing new pharmacy technology and projects
  • Assist with training new pharmacy staff; training and education of staff on new technologies, drug info, Omnicell usage etc
Key Qualifications:
  • PharmD (or equivalent) required and valid NY Pharmacy license
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience including chemotherapy mixing preferred
  • Omnicell and Retail experience beneficial

Additional Information:
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 7pm; variable 7.5 hour shifts (subject to change based on departmental needs)

Learn More About Pharmacy at MSK: The Pharmacy Department utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model. The department has one of the most robust set of electronic clinical resources in the country and a dynamic medication safety program.
Across the Center, we review 1.5 million orders per year and dispense over three million doses of medication annually. The Pharmacy Department has more than 400 employees with approximately 200 pharmacists servicing patients in 26 pharmacy satellites, including inpatient unit-based satellites in all oncological specialties.
Memorial Sloan Kettering provides live, onsite, accredited continuing education pharmacy courses to help keep your credentials up to date. The department will also sponsor national and state membership for pharmacy organizations and appropriate off-site educational meetings.
