Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for dispensing and compounding medication, counseling patients on medication and health subjects; interpreting prescriptions, managing patient drug therapy for complications, and performing drug utilization. He/She collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other health-care practitioners to provide safe, high quality, and cost-effective drug therapy. Pharmacists will be required to serve as preceptors for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents in their area of training and expertise. OTHER INFORMATION Schedule: Mix of day and evening shift responsibility with every 4th weekend and 2 major holidays per year (1 summer/1 winter). Night shift rotation required to fill planned time off. Progressive Practice Model: Mixed model where all pharmacists rotate through central pharmacy and 1-2 clinical areas. Clinical areas that pharmacists support include general medicine, infusion/oncology, operating room, cardiac care, critical care, emergency medicine, and more. Pharmacy services is well integrated into the interdisciplinary teams across the campus and organization. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required)OPL - Ohio Pharmacists License - Ohio Board of Pharmacy BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution and a current Ohio pharmacist license. Completion of a Pharmacy Practice residency or equivalent hospital experience. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Pharmacokinetic drug dosing experience OTHER INFORMATION Ideal Candidates: Board Certified in Critical Care and/or Experience in Critical Care setting with ICU rounding.
