Four years of administrative support experience with increasing responsibility required, preferably within an educational/public-sector environment. Prior Human Resources experience is preferred. Licenses and Certificates: TB Test clearance, Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance, and valid Driver's license. See job description for additional information. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: supporting the classified and certificated recruitment process; specialized record keeping associated with the processing and verification of personnel transactions, forms and data; maintaining confidential personnel files and records; monitoring and ordering department supplies, keeping inventory of equipment and supporting the District Receptionist as needed. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Personnel Technician position is the first level of support within the Human Resources division which can be achieved through advanced level administrative/clerical support, and/or formal training/education in Human Resources or a related field. Further advancement within the department would be achieved through demonstrated competencies in HR information systems and record keeping; multi-tasking varied projects and time lines; complex files management; and high proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet software, database management and report generation in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications for the position. Comments and Other Information The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus. $9,360 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection. $11,400 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
