Parker Tide is a veteran-owned, small business in DC. We serve as a value-added partner to the government. We are currently seeking Security Specialists to work with one of our clients in Alexandria, VA. Position: Personnel Security Specialist
Salary: Depends on experience.
Investigation: Active Top Secret (T5) Clearance, with SCI eligibility.
Period of Performance: one year and four option years.
Place of Performance: 100% onsite in Alexandria, VA. Requirements
• Minimum of four (4) years' experience in the security functional area.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or, 5 additional years of relevant experience with an associate degree, or, 7 additional years of relevant experience with no degree.
• At least five (5) years combined OSD, Joint Staff, or Service-level security experience.
• Experience with handling classified correspondence and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite tools.
• Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of DoD, intelligence community, and national-level physical security policies and procedures.
• Completed security training from the CSA CDSE within the past three (3) years.
• Local travel will be required with this position (within 100 miles). Key Responsibilities
• Tasked with ensuring the integrity of personnel security programs. This includes managing security clearances, conducting background investigations, and ensuring compliance with DoD and intelligence community personnel security policies.
• Administer personnel security clearance processes.
• Conduct and review background investigations for security clearance eligibility.
• Provide guidance on personnel security policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate security records and databases.
• Liaise with government agencies regarding personnel security matters.
• Assess all Policy personnel's security status to ensure compliance with DoD security guidance and directives.
• Conduct personnel security administration and processing for all personnel, managing continuous evaluation/vetting program requirements.
• Manage requirements for additional clarifying information, prepare notifications, suspense actions, and maintain personnel security files.
• Prepare summary reports of outstanding personnel security transactions for resolution.
• Develop and maintain personnel security inspection checklists in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Process courier card/memo requests and DD Form 2249 for location swipe-access.
• Process visit-authorization requests for classified meetings/visits to non-Policy hosted events.
