Job Description:

As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and retention of our valued clients. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts, including homeowners, auto, renters, umbrella, and other related policies. Your primary objective will be to deliver exceptional service by promptly addressing client inquiries, providing expert advice, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their insurance needs, providing personalized guidance, and delivering superior customer service.
  • Policy Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of personal lines insurance policies, including policy renewals, endorsements, and claims processing, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coverage Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients' insurance portfolios to identify gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate solutions to mitigate risks and protect assets.
  • Quoting and Proposal Preparation: Collaborate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, prepare proposals, and present options to clients, ensuring transparency and clarity in coverage details and pricing.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate clients' exposures and assess their risk tolerance to recommend suitable insurance products and coverage limits that align with their financial goals and lifestyle preferences.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, policy documentation, and correspondence in our agency management system to facilitate efficient servicing and reporting.
  • Cross-Selling and Upselling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products or upsell higher coverage limits to meet evolving client needs and maximize revenue generation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the personal lines insurance market to provide informed recommendations and guidance to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal lines insurance sales or account management.
  • Active state insurance license (required).
  • Strong understanding of personal lines insurance products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Applied TAM and/or PL Rating is helpful, not required.
