The Philadelphia-based law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney with First Chair experience to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in personal injury cases, taking the lead as the First Chair attorney during trials. This role requires exceptional trial advocacy skills, a strong understanding of personal injury law, and the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, judges, and juries. The Personal Injury Trial Attorney will play a pivotal role in securing favorable outcomes for clients and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Job Details

Represent clients in personal injury cases, including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and medical malpractice claims.
Serve as the First Chair attorney during trials, leading all aspects of the litigation process, including case strategy, witness preparation, direct and cross-examination, and courtroom presentations.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong case theories and develop persuasive trial strategies.
Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals to gather evidence, obtain witness statements, and prepare exhibits and demonstrative evidence for trial.
Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and other pleadings, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts to obtain critical information and evidence.
Engage in settlement negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution processes to reach favorable outcomes for clients when appropriate.
Provide exceptional client service by effectively communicating legal options, progress, and potential outcomes throughout the case.
Maintain accurate and organized case files, documentation, and billing records.
Stay updated with changes in personal injury law, case precedents, and courtroom procedures to provide effective representation to clients.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and preferably New Jersey
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Trial Attorney, with a demonstrated track record of successfully representing clients in personal injury trials as First Chair.
In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, including relevant statutes, regulations, and case precedents.
Strong trial advocacy skills, including the ability to effectively present arguments, cross-examine witnesses, and handle courtroom objections.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strong negotiation and settlement skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
Experience with case management software and legal research tools is preferred.
