Personal Care Elementary School

Duties Reports to: Building Principal To assist special needs student in daily activities. Coordinates or works with: Students Special Education Team Various school district personnel ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist students to and from the bus. Assist with data collections as needed. Assist with toileting, diaper changing, and female sanitary needs. Assist with lifting/transferring students from wheelchair and back. Attend to hygiene programs such as tooth brushing. Assist with feeding students, including tube feeding. Assist with suctioning students and other minor healthcare needs. Assist with cleaning of student's equipment such as feeding utensils, laundry, wheelchair/trays, and disinfecting all equipment used by students such as mat, tables, Rifton chairs, gait trainers, mobile standers, etc. Document seizures, body fluid contact, and any accidents that occur. Supervise students on playground or in leisure activities. Assist with any therapies as directed by Special Education Team. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift and transfer students. Salary/Benefits 2023/2024 School Year. As assigned by the MESPA guidelines (starting at $14.79 / hour.) 19.75 hours / week.
