Ensure the successful implementation and sustainment of the Quality Management within the organization according to policy guidance. Facilitate cross-functional team projects using the Lean model to improve processes such as process efficiencies and customer service as well as enhancing patient safety and the reduction of cost. Apply advanced statistical methods to improve process capability, reduce process variation. and optimize performance to move toward the Lean level of defects. Analyze clinical and service trend data, identify variations in evidenced-based patient care and sub-standard performance, prepare and present recommendations for improvement, and assists in implementation of improvements facility-wide. Use statistical processes and techniques, databases. computer systems, and graphic displays in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data. Qualifications To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Run and analyze support measures on a performance improvement dashboard. Knowledge in analyzing and reporting clinical data using graphs and dashboards. Knowledge and ability to train others in performance improvement science. Professional knowledge in a wide range of quality and performance improvement principles. Demonstration of knowledge in facilitating performance improvement activities including planning, developing, directing, organizing and evaluating performance improvement initiatives and organizational performance. OR Education: Must have at least 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR; A combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-11 grade level. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.
