Percussion Instructor

Duties Teach students the fundamentals and advanced concepts of playing percussion instruments which includes the competitive marching drumline. Teach selected show music and cadences for the fall marching band show and winter indoor drumline. Instruct students once a week throughout the school year and summer. Marching Band Drumline and Front Ensemble (June through October) Indoor Drumline and Front Ensemble (November through May) If possible, set aside the scheduled week of marching band camp to instruct and help teach the music and drill for the upcoming season. This is usually scheduled for the last days of July/Early August. This camp runs for five days 8am-5pm. Qualifications Applicants must specialize in playing percussion especially in the competitive marching band area. Teaching experience is also preferred. Be at least 21 years of age. Submit all required background checks to satisfy the district's employment requirements.
