BBSI is currently accepting applications for Penetrant Line Operators for our aerospace manufacturing client in SE Portland. Penetrant Line Operators assist in the application of fluorescent penetrant on castings as part of the penetrant inspection process. This position plays a vital role in ensuring products meet specifications and quality requirements. Penetrant Line Operators perform daily tasks such as: Completing all steps in the preparation and application of penetrant to castings. Visually inspecting castings for surface dirt - cleaning and degreasing as necessary. Maintaining penetrant line equipment and work area. Although this is an entry level position, some specific experience and requirements are necessary, such as: High school graduation or GED (necessary for NDT certification). Ability to write, read, and follow specifications on Tech Cards. Ability to pass pre-employment assessment exam. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing twenty to forty pounds, and occasionally up to eighty pounds. Candidates will need to pass an assessment exam to be considered for this position. This position works in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, and other elements for extended periods of time.
