Job Responsibilities About Pee Dee Regional Center Pee Dee Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Florence, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Job Responsibilities Under the limited supervision of the Director of Facility Operations, this senior leadership position is responsible for program management, fiscal management, and oversight of a state operated ICF-IID and supervision of facility administrative personnel. Provide guidance and supervision to subordinate Regional Center directors and personnel with responsibilities impacting facility operations. Ensure acumen of CMS State Operations Manual provisions, federal and state rules and regulations pertaining to ICFs-IID, and community based service options to promote community integration and inclusion. Proactively engage your employees to build relationships that create trust, open dialogue, and full transparency. Establish roles, responsibilities and expectations. Motivate every employee to take action and connect their duties in a compelling manner with DDSN's mission. Engage employees to drive outcomes and overcome adversity, obstacles, and resistance. Create a culture of clear accountability. Make decisions that are based on productivity. Develop a deep personal responsibility for all subordinate activity in your area of responsibility and instill this same mindset with subordinates. Develop key performance indicators (KPI) to establish quality and risk management benchmarks. KPI should incorporate human resources, survey data and trends, and capital permanent improvement projects (CPIP), and analyses of fiscal reports. Facilitate organizational and operational uniformity among all Regional Centers as required/needed. Proactively identify specific improvement projects, develop guidance/parameters, specific milestones, final completion time, fix accountability for results, and effectively brief higher level managers periodically on status. Ensure state operated ICFs-IID comply with federal and state labor laws and Dept. of Labor (DOL) regulations. Conduct frequent walking visits (at least bi-weekly) of resident living areas, workshops and, day service areas lo identify needs and assure delivery of appropriate support and services. Conduct unannounced after-hours visits of facility (bi-monthly) to assure ICF-IID licensing and certification standards are provided as appropriate with identified needs tracked to completion/correction. Assure sufficient unannounced visits by key management staff to support appropriate feedback and identify/correct negative trends. Explore/establish capacity to provide recurring institutional respite space and emergency stabilization as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of experience working with people who have disabilities. One (1) year of experience in supervision/administration.
