Pediatric Primary Care Physician for our Batesville/ Greensburg, Indiana Outpatient Community Practice Cincinnati Children's has a full-time opportunity for a Pediatric Primary Care Physician to join our Batesville/ Greensburg, Indiana Outpatient Community Practice. This is a well-established and well-respected pediatric practice in a family-friendly community consisting of four pediatricians and two advanced pediatric nurse practitioners. The practice has a history of excellent employee and physician retention. The new pediatrician will enjoy a busy clinical practice with no in-patient responsibilities and after-hour nurse telephone triage. As a Cincinnati Children's physician, you will join a network encompassing many specialties who work as partners with our primary care pediatricians. In our Batesville location, you will have direct access to Cincinnati Children's subspecialists who are co-located and rotate clinics through this location. You will also receive administrative support, allowing you to focus on patient care and service. Follows care guideline and treatment protocols for infant; children and adolescent patients and to aid in their mental and physical growth and development. Participates in all department/division activities and initiatives. Maintains good standing in the department REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care Perform direct patient care of pediatric patients within the scope of the medical license, education and experience. Participate in safe, effective and compassionate patient care, commensurate with their level of advancement and responsibility. Examine patients to determine presence of disease and to establish preventive health practices. Determine nature and extent of disease or injury, prescribe and administer medications and immunizations. Perform procedures, collect data, analyze data and make decisions regarding patient care, including initial screening, assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, care, reassessment and discontinuation of care. May formulate, maintain, support, monitor and modify a patient-specific plan for care, treatment and rehabilitation based on the patient's assessment. May also plan and coordinate care, treatment and rehabilitation for discharged patients. Effective Communication Provide for the exchange of appropriate patient care and clinical information when patients are admitted, referred, transferred or discharged. Provide data which will contribute to the assessment of a patient's needs, the organization's capability to provide care or treatment and the appropriate level of care. Development of Clinical Excellence Actively participates in department/division and system learner training and educational programs. Maintains currency in field through continuing education, literature and seminars. Policy Compliance Maintains good standing in the department by compliance to licensure and credentialing criteria. Comply with policies and procedures protecting patient rights for informed consent and the handling of confidential information as defined by Cincinnati Children's mission and applicable laws and regulations. Follow Cincinnati Children's established code of ethical behavior in decisions and actions regarding marketing, admission, transfer, discharge and billing. Review timeliness, accuracy, availability and security of information.
