Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Houston, TX to find a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer.

About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at a premier pediatric care facility. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic services for infants, children, and adolescents.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive pediatric echocardiograms (echos) in various clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and critical care units.

Obtain high-quality ultrasound images of the heart using advanced sonography equipment.

Analyze echo data and generate detailed reports for physicians.

Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient comfort during procedures.

Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Contribute to departmental quality assurance initiatives.

May assist with intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as needed.

Qualifications:

Registered Diploma in Medical Sonography (RDMS) with a specialty in Pediatric Echocardiography (PS) (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with a specialty in Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) (CCI) with a focus on pediatrics (strongly preferred).

Minimum of 6 months of experience performing pediatric echocardiograms in a hospital setting.

Strong understanding of pediatric cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Excellent technical skills in ultrasound image acquisition and analysis.

Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to working with children and their families.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong work ethic and commitment to quality patient care.
