Expert Anesthesiology. Smart Care. That's OAG. Since our formation in 1989, we have grown steadily to become one of the country's largest physician owned anesthesia practices. OAG provides expert anesthesia services at over 30 sites serving a variety of hospitals, surgical centers, and clinics in the Portland Oregon Metro area. With over 200 employed physicians and CRNAs, OAG is uniquely positioned to provide a well-managed, growth environment for you to expand your career. OAG is an equal opportunity employer supporting an inclusive culture that promotes and values diversity. OAG's mission is to provide value to our patients, partners, and community through the delivery of safe, innovative, and efficient patient care of the highest quality. We hire to these values: Service, Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, and Partnership. These are the values that drive us and make OAG a great place to work. To meet our growing needs at Randall Children's Hospital we are seeking an anesthesiologist to join the pediatric and pediatric cardiac teams. Fellowship training and ABA board certification in pediatric anesthesia are expected. Top-notch skills in caring for the full range of complex congenital heart disease, from neonates to adults, is required. The ideal candidate likely would have experience in independent practice, as we personally perform cases solo, but a new graduate could thrive here if they possess the right skills and disposition. Mentorship is a key part of our plan for new partner-track associate physicians. Our practice has a highly appealing breadth and balance of case types. The congenital heart surgery program is moderate in volume and well-established, with an experienced surgeon performing all types of single- and double-ventricle repairs, except no mechanical circulatory support or transplant. There is a busy and innovative interventional cardiology practice (including percutaneous Fontan, sub-500g PDA closure, etc) and excellent NICU and PICU support. The general pediatric anesthesia case mix reflects all complex neonatal problems and pediatric subspecialties within Randall Children's Hospital, which is the largest children's hospital in Oregon and a regional center of pediatric expertise attached to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. In addition, we remain part of a hard-working and collegial group that manages the full case spectrum of a Level 1 trauma center, including general surgery, vascular, ortho/spine, neuro, urology, gyn, ENT and a large and growing volume of out-of-OR cases. Some but not all partners comprise our obstetric anesthesia and acute pain services. As such, we believe our pediatric cardiac team members are among the most versatile, broadly skilled, and well-rounded anesthesiologists anywhere. Echo skills are not required but are valued. Leadership qualities and a willingness to actively help shape and build the Children's Heart Center through a phase of senior partner retirements will make our next partner invaluable. OAG has navigated the recent maelstrom of instability in anesthesiology (and health care more generally) more successfully than most practices, which is a testament to our size, well-established business infrastructure, and strong health system parternships. Evolving business models are designed to provide the most flexible, generous, and supportive independent practice opportunities possible. We offer a great benefit package, and to support our physicians, OAG has a strong, centrally located Portland corporate staff which handles billing, contracting, finance, accounting, compliance, marketing, IT, human resources and operations. Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, a Level 1 acute critical care hospital with over 550 beds, is a medical pacesetter, and is nationally known for their expertise with critical health conditions. Along with advanced services in trauma, burn and intensive care, they have specialists in virtually every field of medicine. Emanuel is centrally located in northeast Portland. The city of Portland is Oregon's largest and sits about an hour west of the majestic Cascade Mountains and less than two hours east of the beautiful Pacific Ocean beaches. Living in Portland presents you an opportunity for a wide range of activities for both professional and personal pursuit. Begin your journey with OAG by submitting your CV and application today. EOE.
