We are looking for personal care assistants to support elderly clients as well as, physically or mentally challenged clients in their everyday lives. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care needs (such as dressing, grooming, using the bathroom, bathing/showering, walking/transferring) Medication administration (following medication training class and nurse delegation under the supervision of the Nurse Manager) Assist with resident meals, including serving, dining room setup/clean up Provide light housekeeping assistance (dusting, taking out garbage, laundry, making beds, vacuuming) Answer resident call lights promptly and assists as needed Promote teamwork and have a positive attitude Enjoys providing residents with outstanding customer service Provide emotional support Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skills Proven experience as personal care assistant Committed to health & safety Able to do housework and cooking Well-organized and reliable Excellent communication and people skills Positive and compassionate attitude CPR certified Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Salary: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Night shift On call Weekend availability Please note that this position is part-time with the potential for full-time growth in the future Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay Signing bonus Requirement: 18 years old or older Experience: Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Wisconsin CBRF Standard Precautions Certification (Preferred) Wisconsin CBRF First Aid and Choking Certification (Preferred) Wisconsin CBRF Fire Safety Certification (Preferred) Wisconsin CBRF Medication Administration Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
