PBIS Building Team Coordinator: 4% stipend
MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) is an umbrella framework that includes both
RtI (Response to Intervention) and PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and
Supports). RtI is a multi-tiered framework primarily for academic support, whereas PBIS
is a multi-tiered framework for behavioral support. RtI and PBIS both focus on providing
support at different levels of intensity based on what the student needs-at the
school-wide (Tier 1), targeted (Tier 2), and individual (Tier 3) levels of support.
This posting is for a PBIS Building Team Coordinator. The PBIS Building Coordinator is
the person who coordinates school-wide implementation of the overall Tier 1, Tier 2,
and Tier 3 practices and systems within their school building. The PBIS Coordinator is
responsible for the leadership of PBIS building team members. The PBIS Building
Coordinator will also be responsible to ensure accurate meeting agendas, meeting
facilitation (twice a month), annual PBIS Family Engagement event planning,
developing and supporting action plan implementation, administration of PBIS Fidelity
Assessments, and developing and tracking quarterly goals.
PBIS Building Coordinators will also collaborate with PBIS building team members to
ensure implementation of interventions, supports, and accurate data collection. PBIS
Building Team Coordinators will be the building go-to person for all PBIS building-level
related inquiries and coordination of resources, as necessary. PBIS Building Team
Coordinators will be expected to facilitate meetings (every 2 weeks), coordinate building
team member roles, oversee Tier 2 referrals and intervention data, communicate with
stakeholders, and support the building PBIS team throughout the school year.
Responsibilities associated with the PBIS Building Team Coordinator will include
expectations to be completed each month outside of PBIS meeting times. It is expected
that the Building PBIS Coordinator and Building RtI Coordinator collaborate on students
with both academic and behavioral needs.
