Payroll Tax Specialist will be:
- Reconcile and ensure accuracy of employee and employer federal, state, and local tax withholdings using MTD, QTD, and YTD payroll registers.
- Prepare and submit timely withholding tax returns to federal, state, and local authorities, adhering to filing deadlines established by the authorities.
- Reconcile federal, state, and local accrual accounts on the general ledger, ensuring proper posting of payroll withholdings and payments from the AP subsystem.
- Assist in the preparation of Forms W-2 and W-2c, issue duplicate W-2s, and handle amendments to tax returns as necessary.
