Job Description:

The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. Leads and develops a team of payroll analysts.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate work assignments, prioritize tasks, and ensure the team's timely completion of tax-related projects and deliverables. Coordinates with key business partners to review and monitor cross-departmental process impact.
  • Reviews and analyzes payroll tax procedures; applies continuous improvement methods to streamline processes and mitigate risk.
  • Lead and manage a team of payroll analysts, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Manages and reports on key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Develops staffing plans and establishes work schedules; prioritizes team workload to maintain service levels.
  • Works with federal and state tax agencies, and third parties to resolve escalations.
  • Coordinated Communicate inter-company funding activities related to payroll expense
  • Conduct internal audits to identify potential tax issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in resolving tax-related disputes and participate in negotiations, settlements, and appeals, if required.
  • Oversee Year End Payroll Processes with vendor
Required Skills:
  • Prior supervisory and management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex information in order to improve practices or develop new approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) in Business or related discipline and two to four years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bonus Skills:
  • UKG Payroll Experience Preferred.
  • FPC/CPP certification preferred
