Payroll Specialist Opportunity

We have partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing organization with multiple entities and a diverse workforce. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in accurately processing payroll for approximately 11 entities and approximately 85 employees. This role will require expertise in managing complex payroll scenarios, including utilizing multiple payroll platforms and handling payroll in both the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
    • Accurately process payroll for approximately 11 entities, ensuring all employees are paid on time.
    • Manage a total of about 85 employees across various entities.
    • Handle payroll data entry, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other payroll-related updates.
  2. Multi-Platform Expertise:
    • Administer payroll on multiple platforms, including Insperity, ADP, and other systems as required.
    • Coordinate and integrate payroll data from different platforms to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  3. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Stay up-to-date with payroll tax regulations in both the United States and Canada.
    • Prepare and file payroll tax reports and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws.
    • Generate various payroll reports as needed for internal and external audits.
  4. Payroll Deductions and Benefits:
    • Manage deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related contributions accurately.
    • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  5. Payroll Reconciliation:
    • Perform regular reconciliations to ensure payroll records match financial records.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, with a strong understanding of payroll processing in a complex, multi-entity environment.
