We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to join our team as a Payroll/Leave Implementation & and Operations Specialist. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee data changes and payments related to CBA, SCA, and contract-driven or company policy-based leave. The employee in this position will serve as the team expert on employee data change processes and guidelines. This role will act as the primary contact for the company's payroll team and work closely with the broader HR teams to stay updated on relevant processes and legal changes. Additionally, they will handle employee inquiries and provide support to any payroll issues especially with CBA/SCA pay, leave, and other related matters. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as the team payroll lead and primary contact for the company's payroll team regarding setup and use of pay types, allowances, leave, and CBA/SCA/DB employee inquiries.
• Keep the broader people team informed about any relevant payroll processes or legal changes.
• Author and send for review to payroll manager all payroll-related communications to employees, on topics such as leave, CBA/SCA/DB pay, etc.
• Manage and respond to all payroll-related questions and issues from employees, aiding on topics such as leave, deductions, CBA/SCA/DB wages, etc.
• Manage the compilation and submission of supplemental pay elements, such as anniversary bonuses and fringe benefit reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Verify that all employee changes/rate changes are correctly captured for each pay cycle, addressing any identified issues and making necessary corrections.
• Partner with the HR team to ensure proper documentation is acquired and appropriate coding is captured for employee setup or ongoing support.
• 5+ years' experience managing employee data changes in payroll system, specifically in Deltek Costpoint and in payroll processing
• 3+ years' experience of GOVCON required
• 2+ years of Dayforce payroll experience is preferred
• Proven capabilities and experience in payroll regulations, CBA/SCA/DBA wages, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and integration between those and Deltek Costpoint
• Ability to create and run reports from COGNOS
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal/collaborative skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work a CST time zone schedule
