As a Payroll Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll operations.

In this crucial position, you'll work closely with the Payroll Manager, assisting in the entire payroll process. From analyzing and preparing payroll data to inputting information and performing other critical accounting tasks, you'll be an essential contributor to the company's operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Maintain payroll information records and ensure proper tax withholdings and deductions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and filings to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Administer and process changes related to employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
  • Provide payroll reports and analyses to management as required.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and payroll-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and payroll information.

What we are looking for in a Payroll Clerk:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with payroll systems, preferably Workday and/or ADP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of creating reports and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll methods, practices, tax filing procedures, and benefit administration.
  • Current knowledge of applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and problem-solving skills.
