  • Manage assigned payroll processing cycle end-to-end processes of complex payrolls with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver the targeted outcome of 100% accuracy and timelines.
  • Processing of payroll and taxes for multi-state locations in compliance with Statutory Regulations, Employment and Labor Standards.
  • Execute and maintain payroll checklists and completeness to ensure key tasks are completed, process documentation is updated, and business controls are functioning. Perform audit tasks.
  • Provide insights on opportunities to improve payroll processes and results during post payroll review meetings.
  • Payroll projects and/or participate on cross-functional teams to implement new technologies, training and/or enhancements to existing platforms and processes.
  • Support and assist in resolution of payroll inquiries, research requests, and other inquires related to payroll taxes, deductions, wage withholdings, etc.
  • Provide required payroll transactions via monthly GL postings, accrual entries and account reconciliations on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end activities, reconcile and distribute W2's and Relocation.
  • Manage the payroll system updates which relate to contractual changes or other requirement changes (collective bargaining agreements).

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of payroll and related work experience
  • Degree (equal level of experience) and Payroll Certification preferred.
  • Recent Oracle Fusion HCM experience (within the last 3 yrs if possible), or experience with mid 2000 ADP platforms and/or PeopleSoft. Experience with Cloud-based applications a plus
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Payroll & Time and Attendance systems Kronos Work Force experience highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of garnishment processing requirements, regulations, and reporting
  • Strong computer skills when using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated payroll system, Microsoft Office, proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to foster relationships while being flexible and able to switch focus as needed
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer services skills and the ability to communicate oral and written with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills with good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage time effectively while working under pressure to meet strict deadlines
