Description
  • Accounts receivable duties include processing and monitoring incoming payments and posting receipts.

  • Resolving customer account discrepancies.

  • Accounts payable tacking outgoing payments by maximizing cash flow.

  • Working with other departments to ensure vendors are paid timely and resolving customer account discrepancies.

  • Ensuring payable are coded to the correct accounts

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

  • Working with Human Resources, updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.

  • With the use of payroll system, prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.

  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments through use of payroll system.

  • Preparation of account reconciliations, which consist of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports regarding payroll, vacation accrual, hours worked, benefits deductions and tax deductions.

  • Working with payroll system, responsible for W-2, 941 and other payroll tax filing.

  • Coordinate annual workman's compensation audit.

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.

  • Conduct monthly and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

  • Assist Controller with annual year-end financial audits.

  • Collaborate and problem solve with site administrative, operations management and supervisory staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in; Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent related work experience required.
Experience
  • 3+ years of accounting experience is required

  • 3+ years of ERP and accounting systems experience required.

  • 3+ years of Payroll Accounting experience is preferred

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience accounting is preferred
