1st Choice is currently seeking a Payment Administrator / Floater in Burtonsville, Maryland. The Payment Administrator will handle various customer service tasks, including answering inquiries, providing information to customers, and assisting with administrative duties and data entry into systems. The successful candidate should possess flexibility, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer systems, ability to work under pressure, punctuality, and prior experience in complex cashiering and customer service support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of customer care and quality service.
  • Greet customers upon entry to the sales store, address walk-in inquiries, and direct customers to the appropriate personnel.
  • Efficiently process financial transactions while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and accurate transactions, contributing to a positive customer experience.
  • Accurately handle various payment types, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks. Calculate totals, receive payments, and provide change when necessary.
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliation and deposit revenue intake and transactions.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and direct customers to appropriate contacts.
  • Receive, process, and ensure completion of document classification, and transmit to clients.
  • Process outbound correspondence from the client when required.
  • Handle documents in both electronic and hard copy forms for processing.
  • Sort, image, document, file, and archive documents by form type.
  • Identify documents and their purpose, creating a database of information.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in complex cashiering and customer service support.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively with the public and to approach problems from the customer's perspective.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory.

Successful candidates must successfully pass a background and drug screening.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
