Pavement Marking Tech II

Summary: Position will be expected to efficiently and effectively operate, maintain, repair and troubleshoot equipment assigned to crew. This position will also be expected to provide safe and productive supervision of crew during Pavement Marking Technician III's absence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to read and understand basic striping plans and perform needed layout including intersections markings. Ability to communication with contractors, DOT inspectors, and all field personnel under your supervision. Ability to complete daily required paperwork. Understand quantities and yield conversions. Implement striping plans and perform needed layout including intersection markings Install Cold Applied Plastic and Preformed Thermoplastic to job specification Operate and maintain all hand equipment including grinding equipment Operate and maintain pavement marking equipment Install acceptable crew specific pavement markings, to include, but not limited to, paint, thermoplastic, and markers Follows and enforces all safety rules and regulations and wears proper safety equipment (to include, but not limited to, work boots - 6 inches with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest) Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures All other duties as assigned OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete daily paperwork accurately Mentors, and communicates effectively with team members Takes pride in work by providing the highest level of customer service Excellent attendance required, dependable transportation, good work ethic
