Position Summary

The Patient Service Representative handles inbound and outbound calls in a timely and effective manner. The position will promote the business processes and support a standard of excellent patient care relating to innovative and superior vision correction care

ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Addresses patient inquiries and concerns about appointment scheduling, company services, insurance coverage and payment methods
Gathers relevant information based on qualifying questions of patients to determine priority of need and proper place of treatment
Participates in the recall of patients who have been inactive for an interval established by the Director of Patient Services
Works with supervisor to ensure goals are being met such as scheduling and patient satisfaction
Counsels patients and answers questions related to procedures and/or billing on an as needed basis
Creates and provides a positive, accountable and inspired work environment for others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of customer service in a fast paced environment
Must be organized and a team player
Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and goal driven
