As a PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN (PCT) you will:

  • Recognizes cardinal signs and symptoms, promptly notifying the nurse of any abnormalities or patient concerns, ensuring swift intervention and care.
  • Provides compassionate bedside care within hospital protocols, offering assistance under nursing supervision to ensure optimal patient comfort and well-being.
  • Goes beyond medical care by assisting patients, families, and visitors with various needs, contributing to a supportive and positive environment.
  • Conducts visual assessments to ensure patient safety, acting proactively to address any potential hazards or risks.
  • Performs a range of procedures from routine daily tasks to more complex medical procedures like specimen collection and EKGs, demonstrating competence and adherence to approved protocols.
  • Maintains consistent attendance, ensuring dependable support and continuity of care for patients.
  • Reports any issues or concerns promptly to the Charge Nurse or designated authority, fostering a culture of transparency and proactive problem-solving.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information.

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about optimizing patient care? We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Completion of approved Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant program in the State of Iowa and active on Iowa CNA Registry or licensed as an EMT in the State of Iowa.
  • Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 30 days of start date
  • BLS certification within 30 days of start date
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Experience as a PCT in an acute/hospital setting.
  • Proficient in multitasking and time management.

Additional Details:

Department: Inpatient and Skilled Unit

Employment Type: Weekend Package (WEP)

Schedule: 6:00am - 2:00pm Saturday and Sunday

Salary Range: $19.00 - $28.50 per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
