Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors the accuracy and efficiency of patient registration practice and reports unresolved complaints to Supervisor.
  • Assists with investigating any violations that may lead to complaints
  • Advises staff of updated policies or processes
  • Monitors performance measures at the direction of the Supervisor
  • Promotes a culture of excellent customer service to patients, staff and visitors
  • Assists in development and implementation of policy and procedures regarding registration practices
  • Available for weekend and after-hour on-call as needed
  • Maintain compliance with confidentiality laws to protect the privacy of patients.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable government regulations, hospital Conduct Policy, as well as being efficient.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

5 years previous Admitting experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, ability to type with accuracy, as well as 10 key and computer literacy a plus. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. BLS required. Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnishes in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of te organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and adaptability.
